“I’m pretty tired. I think I’ll go home now. And just like that, my runnin’ days was over, so I went home to Alabama.” – Forrest Gump
So I am currently sitting in Dublin Airport waiting for the time to come when they tell me to board the plane. I lost it initially when I hugged my Irish roommate Aoibhin goodbye and left the house. Then I cried in the taxi as we left my beloved North Great…
Words cannot describe how truly amazing this year has been. I’ve met people from all over the world, traveled to knew countries, and fell in love with Ireland. Ireland taught me how to be a better person and love more completely. I’ve had some of the wildest and weirdest adventures but wouldn’t change iT for anything. Thank you to every person I met because each of you helped make this experience all the more special. It isn’t goodbye but see ya later. I will come visit you as I know you’ll visit me. Ireland will always hold a very special place in my heart. But for now, this southern girl is Georgia bound. I’ll be home soon. Cheers! ❤️🍀🇺🇸 (at Dublin Airport)

My hair swayed in the wind, and my eyes took in the grey shades of rain. I was moving…

This is a list of my favorite places to visit in Ireland. Some of the places are entire counties while others are towns. The list is my own personal opinion, and I know I’ll step on a few toes by placing some towns in the order I have. But, this is my opinion and I am entitled to it.1. Dublin
I lived in Dublin, so it automatically is number one. My attachment to this town cannot be understated.…

Why does time have to go so fast and be so unfair? I don’t understand it.
I have lots of stories to write about from the last few weeks as well as a couple last things to happen this week that I’m saving for when I go home. I’ll arrive back in Georgia broke and bored, so I’ll have plenty of time to sit down and write about them all. But for now, I just…

So, remember the last time a bee attacked me? Well, he has come back for his revenge.
Matilda and I were walking back to the flat after a nice lunch and some afternoon shopping. We were laughing and cutting up like nothing was wrong. Then, just as we turn onto our street she goes, “Don’t move,” all the while staring worriedly into my hair.
My immediate though was, “Is it a spider?!” I have a fear…
